Godzilla: King of the monsters:

Epic trailer breakdown

This year’s San Diego Comic-Con was the place where Warner Bros. did shine. In addition to the introduction of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, The Lego Movie 2 and future DC movies slate, Godzilla: King of Monsters epic trailer has finally been delivered.

Whether you are a long-time fan or not – it doesn’t matter – the movie is overloaded with gigantic monsters which, along with the story is the topic of this article.

It seems that humanity is once again doomed, this time because of the pollution, which is about to become the cause of its extinction. Vera Fermiga’s character talks about a “fever” that was developed by mother nature herself to fight the infection. She tells about “original and rightful rulers: the Titans”. It seems that they have been hiding away for thousands of years, but Ken Watanabe’s character seems to have found them during his deep underwater submarine expedition.

Farmiga’s warning ends with the following statement: “Unless all of he Titans are found, our planet will perish, and so will we.”. The last part of her speech is heard on the background of a breathtaking scene of Godzilla’s back being lighten up in a beautiful fashion, as well as the first appearance of King Ghidorah, who seems to be frozen in a gigantic ice block deep underneath the earth surface.

Afterwards, we move to one of the most spectacular shots of the whole trailer, in which Millie Bobby Brown approaches a monster, which, at the first glance, appears to be quite friendly, not hostile at least. It is Mothra, redesigned and very cool-looking.

The next part of the movie trailer is all about Farmiga’s character being in deep with the monsters and she believes that they are Earth’s only hope. Family tension is all around the place and can be felt in the air.

The rest of the trailer is way less important, yet beautifully made. Basically, the trailer tells us that monsters are numerous, some of that being good and some bad. It also seems that some of the monsters are going to band together with humans to fight against the rest of them.
